Summary

A group of traveling mice, moving through the countryside in wagons pulled by horses, sing happily about their free and joyful existence. When night arrives, they stop to make camp and gather around to watch a lively female dancer perform a fast-paced routine accompanied by a violin. Hidden from view, a colony of cat-bats—winged, vampire-like predators with feline heads—observes them from a cave in a nearby mountain. Their leader calls them together, and they launch a coordinated attack from the air, swooping down on the camp.

The cat-bats terrify the mice, grabbing several of them and sending the rest of the caravan into a panicked flight. The dancer finds herself trapped by the cat-bat leader, but she boldly sings that rescue is coming. Mighty Mouse hears her call and arrives, battling the cat-bats in midair with punches and collisions, using his incredible strength to force them back into their cave. In the confusion, the dancer falls off a cliff and dangles above a pond filled with crocodiles.

Mighty Mouse dives down just in time, pulling her away from the snapping jaws. With the danger over, the mice celebrate their savior, and the dancer gives Mighty Mouse a kiss.
