Call Me No One was formed in 2012 by Sevendust guitarist Clint Lowery and drummer Morgan Rose. The duo entered the studio on January 22, 2012, to record their debut album Last Parade, which was released on June 5, 2012, through 7 Bros. Records in partnership with Asylum. The band's lineup was later completed by bassist Rek Mohr and guitarist Alan Price, both of whom served as touring musicians.

The band's first single, "Biggest Fan," was released digitally on April 24, 2012. A tour followed in late summer 2012 alongside Nonpoint and Eye Empire. Lowery described the band's sound as having "a dark spooky twist" and compared it to Nine Inch Nails meeting Foo Fighters, noting it was "a lot different from Sevendust."

In 2016, Clint Lowery stated that Call Me No One would not continue, calling it a one-time deal. The band never released additional material beyond its debut album and single.
