Boy Hits Car is an American alternative rock and metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1993. Their music blends heavy rock with world beat and Middle Eastern textures, citing influences such as Jane's Addiction, Primus, Bad Religion, Talking Heads, Quicksand, Led Zeppelin, Helmet, and Eastern musician Ali Akbar Khan.

The lead single "Injustice Fatigue" was released in November 2022. The band’s social media posts indicated planned release years of 2023 and 2024, but neither materialized. Two more singles, "Love Wanted (Inquire Within)" and "Mind Elevation," followed in February and May 2025. A live performance scheduled for May 2025 was canceled after a vehicle crashed into the Whisky A Go Go venue; the band acknowledged the irony of the incident given their name.
Current members are vocalist and twelve-string guitarist Cregg Rondell (1993–present), bassist Bill Gower (2006–present), guitarist Mike Bartak (2007–present), and drummer Erik Peterson (2014–present). Former members include guitarists Louis Lenard (1993–2006) and Dusty Hunt (2005–2007), bassist Scott Menville (1993–2006), and drummers Michael Ferrari (1993–2003), Johnny Ransom (2004–2012), and Will Jenkins (2012–2013). The band’s sixth studio album, *Waves of Sound Across Oceans of Time*, was released on January 16, 2026. A live album, *Worldwide Alive*, came out in 2020.
