Knights of the Round Table

Lore & Background

Their influence permeates every sector of society, from corporate credit limits to the availability of sleeve technology for the masses. While individual members may have conflicting interests, they unite when their collective immortality or dominance is threatened. They view the rest of humanity as resources or obstacles rather than equals, maintaining a strict hierarchy that keeps the poor dependent on the wealthy.

Reader's Guide

The ideology of this group centers on the absolute preservation of their own existence above all else. They believe that immortality is the ultimate right and that only those with sufficient resources deserve it. Their leadership structure is loose and meritocratic based on wealth and influence rather than rank or title. There is no single leader, but a consensus among the longest-lived stacks who hold the most capital. Regarding revolution, they view uprisings as market corrections to be managed rather than threats to be eliminated immediately. They prefer to co-opt dissenters into their system through debt or offers of immortality. Their specific role in driving conflict is subtle; they fund opposing factions to keep populations divided and prevent any unified challenge to their power, ensuring the cycle of death and rebirth continues only for those who can afford it.
