Carter Burke

Carter J. Burke serves as the Weyland-Yutani Corporation representative who recruits Ellen Ripley to join Colonial Marine Lieutenant Gorman in investigating the lost colony on LV-426. While ostensibly there to rescue survivors, Burke orchestrated the initial disaster by ordering colonists to investigate a derelict spaceship containing alien eggs, aiming to profit from recovering them for biological weapon research. His duplicity peaks when he releases two facehuggers in an attempt to implant Ripley and Newt with embryos, planning to smuggle them through Earth's quarantine. Burke meets his end during the subsequent alien attack within the colony facility.
