Deacon

The Deacon is a creature that appears in the final scene of Prometheus, after it bursts from a dead Engineer's chest. It is a different species from the xenomorph, though it shares similar traits, including a similar life-cycle. It is the result of a 'Trilobite', a large facehugger-like creature, attacking and impregnating an Engineer. Ridley Scott named it for its long, pointed head, which he considered resembled a bishop's mitre.
