Funko Fusion was developed by 10:10 Games, a British studio co-founded by Jon Burton and Arthur Parsons in July 2021 after Burton left his role as creative director at Traveller's Tales. The game was built using Unreal Engine 5. The development of a Funko video game was revealed by 10:10 Games and Funko in July 2022 at San Diego Comic-Con. The game released on September 13, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S, with PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions following on December 6.

Gameplay centers on the player character traveling across WonderWorlds—levels inspired by settings from various pop culture properties—after the rise of the malevolent Eddy Funko. Players complete missions, battle enemies, and collect vinyl to manufacture new Pop! figures and tools. Characters can be swapped at Funko Pop! display boxes found throughout levels and in the hub world. Each playable character is equipped with a melee weapon and a long-range weapon for combat and destroying objects.

The game includes characters from more than 20 properties, including Back to the Future, Battlestar Galactica, Child's Play, Five Nights at Freddy's, Hot Fuzz, Invincible, Jaws, Jurassic World, KFC, Knight Rider, Masters of the Universe, Mega Man, The Mummy, Nope, The Office, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Shaun of the Dead, Team Fortress 2, The Thing, The Umbrella Academy, Universal Classic Monsters, Voltron: Legendary Defender, The Walking Dead, Wicked, and Xena: Warrior Princess. Additional properties, characters, and costumes were added via downloadable content.
