History

Jason Kelce has been co-hosting the podcast New Heights with his brother, Travis Kelce, since 2022. After wrapping up his NFL career in 2024, he became an analyst for ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown. The late-night show was revealed on November 21, 2024, during a guest spot on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. ESPN described the program as drawing from traditional late-night TV with a comedic twist, focusing on NFL stories and bringing in big-name football guests. Its first season runs for five straight Saturday mornings, kicking off January 4, 2025, at 1:00 a.m. and continuing through the playoffs. The final episode airs on February 1 at 1:30 a.m., just before Super Bowl LIX. The show tapes at Union Transfer in Philadelphia, where Kelce spent all 13 seasons of his pro career with the Eagles. The house band is SNACKTIME, a Philadelphia-based soul, funk, and alternative group. Kelce has said he grew up loving late-night shows, especially Late Night with Conan O’Brien. The title nods to They Call It Pro Football, the first feature-length film from NFL Films, which also got its start in Philadelphia and collaborates on the show. Besides airing on ESPN, episodes repeat on ESPN2 and are available on ESPN+, plus the YouTube channels for ESPN and Kelce himself.
