2011–12 Charlotte Bobcats season
Worst winning percentage in NBA history.
Last updated
The 2011–12 Charlotte Bobcats, in their eighth NBA season, posted a .106 winning percentage, the worst in league history and lower than the 1972–73 Philadelphia 76ers. Playoff hopes ended March 28 with an 88–83 home loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Pre-season
Due to the 2011 NBA lockout negotiations, the programmed pre-season schedule and the first two weeks of the regular season were scrapped. Once the lockout concluded, a two-game pre-season was set for each team. The Bobcats won their first pre-season game against the Atlanta Hawks on December 19, with Kemba Walker scoring 18 points. They lost the second pre-season game at Atlanta on December 22, with Corey Maggette also scoring 18 points.
