Sensui arc
The former Spirit Detective who tries to open a hole to the Demon Plane.
The Sensui arc of YuYu Hakusho reveals that Shinobu Sensui, Yusuke Urameshi's predecessor as Underworld Detective, has recruited six other powerful beings to take over where Sakyo left off and open a hole to the Demon Plane that would cause the genocide of the human race. The group, the Sensui Seven, works to open a portal linking the Human World with the Demon Plane.

Background
Elder Toguro, reduced to a head after nearly being destroyed by his brother, is found by Sensui and tells him about Yusuke, which prompts Sensui to begin his plan. Yusuke and his friends defeat Sensui's associates, and in the final battle between the two detectives Sensui kills Yusuke and retreats into the newly opened portal; Yusuke's death awakens Hiei's old demon powers. Yusuke follows him into the Demon Plane and defeats him with the help of his ancestor, who takes control of his body to finish the fight. The author had originally wanted to end the manga in December 1993 at the climax of this arc, and the arc's "territory" powers were parodied from a separate work by Yasutaka Tsutsui.
