Gameplay

The game includes single-player and multiplayer modes, the latter via the Game Boy Advance Gamelink cable. Single-player modes are Exhibition, Gauntlet, Season, King of the Ring, Royal Rumble, Iron Man, and Pay Per View. The Royal Rumble mode is limited to 24 participants due to memory and roster restrictions. Season mode resembles career modes in other sports and wrestling games, where the player selects a wrestler and builds a career aiming to reach WrestleMania, with weekly matches against other roster members.

Reception

According to Metacritic, the game received mixed reviews with an average score of 62 out of 100 from seven critics. Computer and Video Games staff rated it 6/10, criticizing the 2D graphics and awkward controls but praising the cheesy intros and content, calling it better than Fire Pro Wrestling but inferior to the SmackDown games. Nintendo Power gave a collective score of 3.2/5. IGN's Nix gave a 3/10, calling it a rehash of a Game Boy Color game and noting the graphics as minimal.
