Did You Know?
- Amiga Reviews rated the Amiga version 18%, stating 'WWF is a triumph of presentation over gameplay. The theme tunes and effects glide along with the slick opening titles. But that's it.'
- The game is based on the real-life WWF European Rampage tours held in the early nineties.
Gameplay
One or two players form a tag team from Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior, and Bret Hart. They must defeat the tag teams of The Nasty Boys, The Natural Disasters, and Money Inc. three times each, first at The Britannic Arena in London, England, then at The Deutsche Nationale Arena in Munich, Germany, and finally at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy, France. The final match is a championship bout against The Legion of Doom in New York City's Madison Square Garden, and it is the only match that cannot be won by countout. The Amiga version includes sampled entrance themes and speech, but in-game graphics and gameplay are limited. Each wrestler has the same basic attacks: punches, kicks, dropkicks, backbreakers, and powerslams, with regular powerslams being very hard to perform and Gorilla press powerslams easy to perform but failing to lift The Natural Disasters except by Ultimate Warrior. Unlike its predecessor, there is no time limit. A two-player practice mode is included, but player 2 is automatically assigned The Nasty Boys team with their names incorrectly switched. The Commodore 64 version features only singles matches: the player must defeat Typhoon, Irwin R. Schyster, and Jerry Sags in various venues before challenging Animal for the championship, and also includes a two-player practice mode.
