Waveform Energy Source

Lore & Background

The Organization and various factions study this energy to understand how to stabilize the world's ley lines. While Resonators use Waveform Energy for protection, some rogue elements seek to weaponize it or amplify the Waves themselves. The relationship between the user and the energy is symbiotic yet dangerous; drawing too much power can overwhelm a human mind with the chaotic frequency of the Echoes. This delicate balance defines the daily life of every Resonator operating in the post-Catastrophe era.

Reader's Guide

Before the Catastrophe, humanity lived without knowledge of this energy. The sudden arrival of the Waves altered the planet's frequency, creating Echoes upon contact. Following the disaster, early survivors discovered that certain individuals could resonate with these frequencies. This led to the formation of the first Resonator groups who learned to harness Waveform Energy for survival against monsters. In the current era, technology has advanced to allow for Echo collection and tuning. However, the source remains unstable. Researchers continue to monitor ley lines while Resonators utilize this power daily, walking a fine line between salvation and being consumed by the very energy they wield.
