Lore & Background

In a world fractured by the Cataclysm, where reality itself can be warped by unstable energy signatures known as Echoes, traditional policing is insufficient. The Jinzhou Security Bureau was reorganized to address these unique threats, integrating specialized training and equipment designed to handle supernatural disturbances. Their officers are not merely beat cops; they are trained to recognize the signs of Tacet Discord outbreaks and contain them before they consume entire districts.

The Bureau's relationship with Resonators is complex but necessary. While some citizens fear those who wield Echo powers, the Bureau relies on them as a last resort when conventional methods fail. This dynamic creates a tense but functional partnership, particularly visible in the actions of officers like Tang Xuexing, who bridges the gap between bureaucratic duty and the volatile world of Resonators. The Bureau represents the fragile order that Jinzhou clings to, constantly working to prevent the city from succumbing to the entropy of Tacet Discord outbreaks.
