Donna Theo Strickland (born May 27, 1959) is a Canadian optical physicist known for her work on pulsed lasers. She shared the 2018 Nobel Prize in Physics with Gérard Mourou for developing chirped pulse amplification. She is a professor at the University of Waterloo in Ontario.
Strickland was born in Guelph, Ontario, to an English teacher mother and an electrical engineer father.
