Background
Maghull's journey through the leagues includes a standout 1992–93 season when they won the North West Counties League Division Two title, though ground grading issues blocked promotion. They moved to the West Cheshire League Division One for the 1999–2000 season and stayed there until the 2023/24 season, when they earned promotion back to the North West Counties League First Division North. Their first season back, 2024/25, saw them finish 10th, with notable victories over Droylsden, Darwen, and a 7-1 home win against Skelmersdale United. The club also reached the third round of the FA Vase in 1981–82, a highlight from their earlier years.
