Season one
Eugene helps Wednesday stake out a cave suspected of belonging to the Hyde. When Wednesday postpones their vigil to go to the Raven Dance, he ignores her warning not to go into the woods alone and is mauled by the Hyde, which leaves him in a coma. After he wakes, his description of the person he saw setting fire to the cave helps Wednesday work out that Marilyn Thornhill is Laurel Gates. During Crackstone's attack on Nevermore he saves Wednesday by attacking Gates with a swarm of bees.
Season two
In season two Eugene becomes Pugsley Addams's roommate as a favour to Wednesday, and his powers grow so that he can control more arthropods than just bees.
