Veden Military

Lore & Background

Their most significant historical engagement involves the invasion of Hallandren, driven by political maneuvering and a desire for expansion. This conflict showcases the Veden military's capability to project power across the sea, utilizing their naval forces and landing troops with precision. The use of Awakened weapons and the strategic deployment of soldiers who can manipulate the color of Life gives them an edge that traditional armies struggle to counter, making them a formidable foe for any nation they choose to engage.

Reader's Guide

The Veden Military operates under a strict hierarchy led by the King of Veden, who serves as the supreme commander. Below him are high-ranking generals and captains who oversee specific divisions, ensuring that orders are executed without question. The organization is built on the principle of absolute obedience; dissent is viewed as a weakness that compromises the unit's effectiveness. The primary goal of the military is to expand Veden's influence and secure resources through conquest, particularly targeting neighboring nations like Hallandren.

Their strategy often involves overwhelming force combined with magical augmentation, using soldiers charged with Life Breath to sustain prolonged engagements. Internal conflicts are rare due to the crushing weight of discipline, though tensions may exist between traditionalists who favor pure martial skill and those who advocate for more aggressive use of Awakened technology. Leadership is hereditary or appointed based on proven loyalty and battlefield success.

The chain of command is unbroken, with every soldier knowing their place. This structure ensures that the Veden Military acts as a single, cohesive entity, capable of executing complex maneuvers that would cause less disciplined forces to falter.
