Synopsis
Vice President Selina Meyer travels to London with her staff for World War I centenary events while preparing her presidential campaign. Her efforts to strengthen UK–US relations are hindered by British deputy prime minister Peter Mitchell, whose awkward interactions with Selina draw unwanted media attention. Campaign manager Dan Egan increasingly relies on personal trainer Ray Whelans for advice, despite concerns from Amy Brookheimer, Kent Davison, and Ben Cafferty. Amy secretly works with Jonah Ryan to expose controversial past comments from Ray, sparking a public scandal that overshadows the diplomatic visit. Dan struggles to manage the crisis and suffers a panic attack. After the scandal dominates a press conference meant for the war commemoration, Selina cuts the trip short. She fires Dan as campaign manager and appoints Amy as his replacement.
