Chara the First Human

The first human to fall into the Underground, adopted by Toriel and Asgore.

Chara is a child from the human world and the first human to fall into the Underground, taken in and adopted by Toriel and Asgore before the events of Undertale. Chara persuaded their adoptive brother Asriel to join a plan to collect six human souls from the surface, beginning with their own death. On the naming screen the name the player enters is described as Chara's "true name".
