Heike Gabriela Drechsler (née Daute; born 16 December 1964) is a German former track and field athlete who represented East Germany and later Germany. She is one of the most successful long jumpers of all time, a former world record holder, and the only woman to win two Olympic gold medals in the long jump, in 1992 and 2000. Drechsler also held the world record in the 200 metres and won Olympic medals in the 100 metres and 200 metres.

Drechsler was born in Gera, East Germany, and as a teenager was active in the Free German Youth. In 1984, she was elected to the Volkskammer of East Germany. She married Andreas Drechsler in July 1984 and was coached by her father-in-law, Erich Drechsler. Initially a competitive long jumper as a teenager, she transitioned to elite sprinting in 1986 at age 21. That year, she twice equalled Marita Koch's 200 metres world record of 21.71 seconds, and set two long jump world records. Her 21.71-second performance was run into a head wind of −0.8 m/s, making it one of the fastest-ever women's 200 metres.
