Takemichi's time leaps, triggered by a handshake.
Takemichi Hanagaki's time leaps take him twelve years into the past, to 2005 and his middle-school years, when he is pushed onto a train track in 2017. Naoto Tachibana later works out that physical contact between them triggers the leaps, and Naoto serves as Takemichi's trigger up to Kisaki's death.

Lore & Background
Each return to the present shows how his changes have played out, usually with Hinata and his friends still doomed. Mikey's older brother Shinichiro is revealed as one of two earlier time leapers, who passed the power to Takemichi. When he can no longer leap through Naoto, Takemichi travels to 2008 by saving Mikey, and at the end the two leap together back to 1998.
