Chaol Westfall
The Captain of the Guard in Throne of Glass.
Chaol Westfall is the Captain of the Guard in Sarah J. Maas's Throne of Glass series and one of its main characters. When Celaena Sardothien accepts the offer to compete for the post of King's Champion, she forms an unexpected bond with him.
Lore & Background
Maas wrote him as a strict and principled captain set against Celaena's morally grey assassin. She has said Chaol had always seen the world in black and white until Celaena upset that view, and over the story he comes to see her as a person rather than only a prisoner.
