Assassin's Blade
The prequel novella collection of Throne of Glass.
The Assassin's Blade is the 2014 collection of prequel novellas in Sarah J. Maas's Throne of Glass series. Its stories take place two years before the first novel, but it was published after Crown of Midnight.
Lore & Background
Bloomsbury first issued four of the novellas as e-books between January and July 2012, before the first novel came out: The Assassin and the Pirate Lord, The Assassin and the Desert, The Assassin and the Underworld and The Assassin and the Empire. Because of that gap between publication and story order, readers debate where to read it; Bloomsbury and Maas's site suggest publication order.
