Stentorian

History

The original line-up of Stentorian consisted of Torsha Khan on vocals, James Kabir and Golam on guitars, Shams Alim Biswas on bass, and Bobby Khan on drums. The band performed at the Indian High Commission Auditorium in Dhaka on October 27, 2001. Golam left the band in 2003, but the group continued performing and composing. Stentorian participated in the band-mix album Agontuk-2, coordinated by Bassbaba Sumon. Before leaving to study abroad, Torsha recorded vocals for "Adrissho Juddho" and "Bhoy," later released on Agontuk-2 and Dinbodol respectively. In 2004, Torsha suggested his childhood friend Tanim Sufyani join the band; Tanim joined in September 2004, along with Tutul Rashid and Rafiul Habib. After multiple concerts in 2005 and the release of Bishonno Adhaar, Stentorian undertook their first national tour, then signed with G-Series. The band contributed the track "Choritrohin" to the mixed album Rock 101. Anabeel Sen replaced Shams on bass. On March 7, 2010, the song "Chhobi" was released as a preview of the second album. Stentorian performed live on ABC Radio on June 4, 2010. In December 2011, Tanim Sufyani left due to personal problems and formed the short-lived band Pledge Karma. Rabiul Awal Real replaced Tanim in January 2012; Sumit Gaurab replaced Tutul Rashid in March 2013. Ahmad Abdullah Saquib joined in 2015, replacing Rafiul Habib on drums.
