City Wardens

Crime lords who ran the City's wards

The City Wardens were the most powerful crime lords in the City in the Thief series. Each controlled organised crime in a set area of the City, called a ward, with a crew of thugs known as tough boys, and paid heavy bribes to City Watch officials to keep their business going. After Sheriff Truart rose to power, a Warden Affairs division was set up to go after them.
