Soulflame

Found throughout the multiverse, Soulflames are a special kind of natural treasure, but they are scarce, often dangerous and very difficult to locate because they appear in hazardous environments. When an environment reaches a certain threshold and an elemental is about to be born and awaken spiritually but somehow fails, a Soulflame forms instead. Not truly a living being, it nonetheless retains a fragment of a Truesoul, which makes it a potent item. These rare flames are highly sought after by alchemists, but acquiring one is far from simple. Methods to absorb Soulflames and integrate them into their Truesouls have been discovered by alchemists. The alchemist's Alchemical Flame is merged with the Soulflame in that process, permanently fusing the two. They range from Elementary through Low-, Mid-, High- and Pinnacle-tier up to Supreme Soulflames.
