Jackson is the fortified settlement in Jackson, Wyoming, in The Last of Us, built by Joel's brother Tommy and his wife Maria around a working power plant after Tommy left the Fireflies.
Lore & Background
Maria and her father ran a settlement in Jackson County soon after the outbreak. Joel and Ellie reach it in the first game, and four years later, in The Last of Us Part II, they have settled there, though their relationship has become strained. Jesse is one of its leaders, and later in the game Ellie and Dina live on a farm near Jackson, raising Dina's baby, JJ.
