History
Sisaket Football Club was established in 2009 by the Sports Authority of Thailand and the Football Association of Thailand, winning the Thai Provincial League that same year. The team had previously earned promotion from the Regional League Division 2 to the Thai First Division in 2008. In 2010, they reached the Premier League after a third-place finish in the 2009 Thai Division 1 League. The club moved to Ubon Ratchathani Province in 2012 and rebranded as Esan United, following the local Sisaket government’s support for the new Sisaket United. That season, Esan United achieved a club-best sixth-place finish. In 2013, the Football Association of Thailand ruled that Esan United had forged documents, forcing the club back to Sisaket. Legal disputes led to a suspension for the remainder of the season, but the team avoided relegation. Returning to the Thai Premier League in 2014, the club resumed the name Sisaket and played at Sri Nakhon Lamduan Stadium. On 27 July 2022, the Administrative Court of Thailand ordered the Football Association of Thailand to transfer the rights to manage the Sisaket team back to Esan United and pay 18.5 million baht in compensation, effectively dissolving the Sisaket club.
