EUMT F.C.

History

In 2015, the chancellor of the Eastern University of Management and Technology, Assistant Professor Dr. Wirasak Jinarat, asked the Football Association of Thailand to start a new club by splitting off from Ubon UMT F.C. That same year, the team began playing in the Regional League Division 2 Northeast Zone. The following year, it won the Thai Division 1 League and moved up to the Thai League 1 for the first time. A stadium called UMT Stadium was built on the university campus and opened in time for the 2017 season. At the close of 2018, the club rebranded as Ubon United, but it was disbanded at the end of the 2019 season because it could not meet club licensing standards due to salary problems. In 2025, the team came back under the name The Eastern University of Management and Technology F.C., or EUMT F.C., and joined the 2025 Thailand Semi-pro League. It placed second in the Northeastern region. Even though that finish would not normally lead to promotion, EUMT F.C. was moved up to the 2025–26 Thai League 3 Northeastern Region to take the spot left open by Rasisalai United’s promotion to the 2025–26 Thai League 2.
