Magnetic ring spinning

A ring spinning technology using magnetic levitation to increase speed.

Last updated

Magnetic ring spinning is a ring spinning technology for making yarn based on magnetic levitation. It eliminates the traveler sliding over the ring, enabling much higher spinning rates. The design replaces the traveler with a magnetically suspended disc that rotates in a magnetic field, avoiding the frictional heat and rapid wear of traditional systems.
