Their performance of the song on the show 45 impressed producer Muriel Young, leading her to give the band their own weekly series. The song later became an international rock classic, recorded by artists including Joan Jett and Britney Spears.
Synopsis
Arrows are the only band in pop music history to have a weekly television series while releasing no records during its run. Although they had hit singles before the series, a legal wrangle with their record label prevented any recordings from being released during the show's broadcast. Their last single came out two months before the first episode aired. The series was broadcast across the entire ITV network, including England, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Gibraltar, and Hong Kong. During the second series, guitarist Terry Taylor, formerly of Tucky Buzzard and introduced by Bill Wyman, joined the band.
