Did You Know?

• In July 2013 on DisneyXD.com, viewers could vote for their favorite nose for Crash, with the winning nose revealed during the second season's premiere.
• A possible spin-off titled Commando Crash, with Crash enrolling in Oak Shield Military School, was reported to be in pilot production on July 10, 2014.

Characters

Crash, performed by Tim Lagasse, is a puppet created during Wyatt's visit to Build-A-Bestie. He has a reckless and destructive personality, often causing damage in the Bernsteins' apartment. Crash is gullible and dim-witted, frequently getting himself or others into trouble, but he has a good heart and his intentions are usually right, though he can be prone to jealousy. Tim Lagasse was assisted by Paul McGinnis and Rob Saunders, who operated Crash's arms, legs, and props.

Wyatt Bernstein, played by Cole Jensen, is a 12-year-old boy and the middle child among three sisters. He wishes for a brother, leading him to build Crash. Wyatt is often exasperated by Crash's antics but generally loves spending time with him and is best friends with Pesto. Cleopatra "Cleo" Bernstein, played by Landry Bender, is the 13-year-old sister who shares a room with Wyatt.

She runs a company called "CLEO" and serves as its self-proclaimed CEO, revealing a crush on Pesto. Cleo is bossy and business-savvy, selling anything from makeup to dirt for money. Amanda Bernstein, played by Oana Gregory, is the 16-year-old sister who is very popular, with Pesto having a crush on her. She is sociable but can be annoying to others.

Pesto, played by Aaron Landon, is Wyatt's friend who works at his parents' arcade. He has a crush on Amanda and often fails in his attempts to woo her, and he is frequently shown as a momma's boy. Jasmine Bernstein, played by Mckenna Grace, is the 6-year-old youngest sister who is a spoiled brat prone to tantrums. She owns a doll named Princess Glitter that Crash is in love with. Melanie "Mel" Bernstein, played by Mary Birdsong, is the mother of the four children and does not approve of Crash.

Reception

Emily Ashby of Common Sense Media gave Crash & Bernstein a three-star rating out of five, noting that the show requires parents to be mindful of their child's response. She stated that much of the humor comes from the characters' misbehavior, and viewers need to understand the difference between fantasy and reality, as actions like knocking down a wall would have serious real-world consequences.
