Premise
Prohyas Robert Warrior and his sister Vambre Marie Warrior work as hired adventurers, traveling the world to collect magical swords called Magiswords. Each Magisword has a unique power tied to its design. The siblings can buy some at Ralpho's House of Swords on Mount Ma'all, while others are hidden throughout the Rhyboflaven Kingdom.
Background and production
Kyle Carrozza, previously creator of the short MooBeard: The Cow Pirate for Nicktoons' Random! Cartoons, created Mighty Magiswords. The characters were originally conceived in 1996, and the series was pitched to Cartoon Network in 2005–2006 as "Legendary Warriors for Hire" and to Mondo Media in 2007–2008 as "Dungeons and Dayjobs" before being picked up by Cartoon Network in 2013. Produced in Flash animation, it was the first original cartoon on Cartoon Network made specifically for online since Web Premiere Toons. Most animation was done in-house at Cartoon Network Studios, with overseas mid-production at Malaysian studio Inspidea. Production wrapped in 2018, with remaining episodes released from May 6 to May 17, 2019.
Broadcast
