As a vice consul at the U.S. Embassy in London, she confronts challenges from her work and the personal issues that drove her to the job. Broadcast in 2002, the show addressed sensitive topics such as terrorism and post-9/11 American foreign policy. One episode dealt with racial profiling during an investigation of a London mosque, while another depicted the aftermath of a car bomb at the embassy.
