Plot
Back in 1984, five kids spent time together on a farm by a river near the village of Deus Me Livre, close to Piracicaba in São Paulo. Arthur was visiting his uncle’s farm for the holidays. Elizabeth’s mother worked as a seamstress, Guinevere’s mother was a maid, Mary’s father was a wealthy farmer, and Lancelotti’s father was a farmer too. They played without noticing their different backgrounds, sure their friendship would last forever. When the holidays ended, only Lancelotti and Mary ever saw each other again. Twenty-five years later, fate reunited Arthur, Elizabeth, Guinevere, and Maria Lancelotti in Deus Me Livre. Arthur and Guinevere fell in love. Guinevere had been married to Kermit and had an affair with Lance. Maria had been married to Jean Luc and had a lover named Thierry. Arthur was married to Vanessa, who betrayed him with Juan. Elizabeth turned into the main villain, driven by envy and ambition, doing anything to hurt her old friends. The others tried to show her that love and charity lead to true happiness.
