Premise

Sixteen years after the Seven Deadly Sins ended the Holy War by destroying the Demon King and Supreme Deity, the story follows Percival, a boy who learns he is fated to be one of four knights prophesied to destroy the world. Targeted by Camelot, he journeys with Lancelot, a Liones knight and son of Ban, to find the other three knights.

Production

Suzuki initially planned to make Tristan, son of Meliodas and Elizabeth Liones, the protagonist but changed his mind to avoid a main character closely tied to the previous cast, instead creating Percival. In an April 2021 interview, Suzuki noted he focuses on Percival's cuteness in his design, emphasizing elements like his helmet and cloak.
