Premise

In 2033, street thug Sebastian "Blame" Hernandez arrives in an alternate reality where the United Kingdom has conquered the world and declared world peace. Terrorist Bobby Worst then nukes the planet, causing a global apocalypse that turns everyone into their worst selves. The Eldest Elmer tells Blame that Blame himself caused the apocalypse through an unrelated chain of events beginning in 1865, and that he must go back in time to prevent those events. With help from CEO Bryce Tankthrust, a captive of the Society of Elmers, Blame finds the time machine and travels back, while Bryce stays behind and kills Bobby Worst, with both dying. Earlier events reveal that a series of incidents in Bryce and Bobby's childhood led Bobby to turn against her. Blame first goes to 1865, stopping British couple Lord and Lady Mingeworthy from seizing control of the U.S. He then returns to 2018, when he was a child, and allows Sam—unbeknownst to Blame, his future foster father—to choose an alternative tattoo for young Blame. Blame meets another version of himself who wanted to prevent the tattoo event; that version lends the time machine to the original Blame so he can return to 2033, while staying behind to relive his life. The apocalypse immediately starts again, so Blame returns to the eldest Elmer in a bunker. Elmer betrays him, revealing the plot was only to stop Worst so Elmer could use a chemical weapon to turn everyone into Elmers. Blame kills the eldest Elmer, then finds the time machine and prompts it to go back to when it was created. An Elmer possessed by the eldest Elmer grabs the machine and is taken back in time with Blame.

Rogers later confirmed on February 25 that the first episode would drop on March 2, 2019, after an Instagram post on February 13 had hinted at a March release.
