Tecmo Super Baseball
A 1994 baseball game with real players but no team names.
Tecmo Super Baseball, a professional baseball video game, hit the Super NES and Sega Genesis in 1994. It includes all 28 MLB teams from that time, but only has the MLBPA license. Consequently, the game lacks team names and logos; uniforms are plain, and teams are identified by city, with Chicago and New York teams distinguished by an A or N for their league. Its main menu theme is a cover of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game."

Modes
Exhibition mode offers a single game between any two teams, with options to play against the computer, another player, or watch the computer play. The coach option lets the player act as manager by selecting pitch types and swing types while the computer executes. Season mode allows the player to set the status of all 28 teams to play, coach, watch, or skip, then runs a full season based on the 1994 schedule, including playoffs and the World Championship Series, with stats tracked for every team and player. All-Star mode uses Super Star teams from 1993 or a player-drafted team. A statistics screen displays player stats from 1993 and the current season if one is active.
