Gameplay
Super Swing Golf shares many similarities with the online PangYa but differs in control and content. Single-player offers story mode, stroke play mode, and match mode; multiplayer replaces story mode with Balloon Pop mode. In all modes, players earn Pang currency to spend on clothing or gear. The Wii Remote is used to scroll, pan, and execute shots: players raise the controller behind them to set the power meter, then hold the A button and swing forward. The angle and speed of the forward swing affect shot accuracy, and twisting the controller causes a hook or slice. An alternative control system uses only the Wii Remote buttons, matching the PC version's key combinations for power shots. The single-player story mode, PangYa Festa, follows an anime-inspired storyline where players select a character and course, playing 3, 6, or 9 holes against opponents. Winning matches unlocks new characters, caddies, and shop items, with brief cutscenes before and after each match. Outfits for Kasumi, Ryu Hayabusa, and Ayane from Tecmo's Dead or Alive series appear in the game.
