Robert Szasz
Canadian real estate developer who heckled Rays opponents as The Happy Heckler.
Robert Szasz, a real estate developer from Toronto, Ontario, who relocated to Florida in 1984, became known as the Happy Heckler for his vocal insults directed at opposing players during Tampa Bay Rays games at Tropicana Field. Holding season tickets from 2000 through 2008, he targeted one player per game or series, focusing on baseball ability rather than personal traits, and his booming voice was frequently audible on broadcasts. His heckling sometimes visibly upset players, such as Bret Boone and José Guillén, and he published a book titled The Happy Heckler in 2008.
