Fernando Rodney

The arrow-shooting closer the Rays signed for 2012, that year's AL Comeback Player of the Year.

Fernando Rodney (born March 18, 1977) is a Dominican-American professional baseball pitcher who has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Tampa Bay Rays, Seattle Mariners, Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, Miami Marlins, Arizona Diamondbacks, Minnesota Twins, Oakland Athletics and Washington Nationals. Rodney signed a $1.75 million contract with the Tampa Bay Rays for the 2012 season, and in 2012 he won the MLB Delivery Man of the Year Award and the American League Comeback Player of the Year Award.

During his time with the Rays he mimed shooting an arrow to high center field after converting a save, as his celebration move. A three-time MLB All-Star, Rodney joined the 300 save club in 2017 and won a World Series with the Nationals in his most recent MLB season; he also holds the World Baseball Classic record with eight career saves for the Dominican Republic.
