TriOptimum
The megacorporation that built SHODAN, Citadel Station and the Von Braun - and never quite learned.
The TriOptimum Corporation, TriOp for short, is the megacorporation of the System Shock series: the company that created SHODAN, Citadel Station and the starship Von Braun. It formed from the merger of Optimum Capital, Paragon Security Group and ChemCal, and its influence over government and its role as a major supplier to the military and consumers made it a megacorporation; its rival was TetraCorp.

Background
TriOptimum's golden age followed the Hays-Bishop Bill: in 2059 it absorbed what remained of the United States, and in 2061 it bought the rights to Saturn's L6 orbit, where Citadel Station was built in 2062. Its holdings in the fan wiki's list run across the solar system: Citadel at Saturn, Netplex Station, a quantum repeater, at Jupiter, Benedict Station, a resource depot, orbiting Mars, Telos Station, a mining station, orbiting Earth's moon Luna, and its headquarters in New Atlanta on Earth. After the Citadel disaster its attempted cover-up was exposed, lawsuits bankrupted it and the newly formed UNN was set up to curb corporations like it; in 2100 the Russian oligarch Anatoly Korenchkin bought its assets and restored it, signed weapons contracts and, in 2114, launched the Von Braun.
