Kankichi, a carpenter originally inept at fighting, becomes Senden, the Yellow Lightning, and uses the Dekee Bomb attack. Kaguya, a snack shop girl who is originally very clumsy and considers Tojiro her mentor, becomes Shiden, the Purple Lightning, and is proficient with a katana; she was at Nagasaki during the events of Inazuma SPARK with Tojiro. Jun Terada is a television producer whose previous Hyper Hero Series show, Woman Space Sheriff Beppy, flopped and was cancelled. Under the guise of Kami, she recruits and trains the Inazuma team, later revealing herself to them. Takanao Kuratanomiya, Jun's assistant, is a realist who often thinks her foolish but remains loyal; he remote controls the Crow Camera and directs the Spark series. Terunosuke, a young lord admired by Hosomatsu, is possessed by a slug and becomes Dokuyamo. Ito, Terunosuke's sister respected by Kankichi, is possessed by a slug and becomes Jorōgumo, using silk-based attacks. Tojiro, a former ronin under Terunosuke whom Kaguya had feelings for, is possessed by a slug and becomes Tōrōki, using sickles. Mishima is president of Magical TV, Jun's boss, and Tsubame's father. Cho Ninja Tai Inazuma!! SPARK
Cho Ninja Tai Inazuma!! SPARK is the sequel to Cho Ninja Tai Inazuma!. A year after the prequel's events, Jun produces a sequel and casts the daughter of Magical TV's president as her female lead. Tsubame Mishima, the president's daughter, cannot resist helping those in need; she accidentally activates the Teleport Room and ends up in 1721, where she attempts to learn ninja skills from Hayate, an aloof Iga shinobi. Hayate worked under Sendai until Aoba Castle was destroyed by the Gezoians, who later murdered his sister; he pursues them with an item his sister gave him, but they stay ahead. Tsubame falls in love at first sight with Hayate and tries to make him smile, learning of his loss and his suicidal revenge quest. When Jun finds Tsubame in the past using the original defective time teleporter, Tsubame sends Jun back to be deliberately struck by the legendary lightning, then fights the two aliens behind the attacks as the newest Inazuma, saving Raiden and Senden. Tsubame returns to her time with Hayate after he fakes his death; as Hien, she is the Blue Lightning. The cast includes Mitsuomi Takahashi as Hayate, Mami Yamasaki as Tsubame/Hien, and Ayumi Beppu as Ayumiko and Hayabusa. Hosomatsu and Kankichi investigate daimyo killings while Kaguya travels with Tojiro.
