Sam
Rule-breaking marriage candidate with a part-time job at JojaMart.
Sam is a villager and one of the marriage candidates in Stardew Valley. He lives at 1 Willow Lane in Pelican Town with his mother Jodi and his little brother Vincent; his father Kent is away in the military and comes home in the second year.
Sam does not think much of authority, and Sebastian says he holds the valley's record for community service hours. He works part-time at JojaMart, which he does not enjoy, though he likes Joja Cola. On Fridays he plays billiards with Sebastian and Abigail at the Stardrop Saloon, usually losing.

Schedule
Sam usually gets up around 10 AM at 1 Willow Lane and plays guitar in his bedroom before going out in the afternoon: to the river near Lewis' house in spring, to the beach firepit with his brother Vincent in summer, to the forest southwest of Leah's Cottage in fall and to the Stardrop Saloon in winter.
On Mondays and Wednesdays he works at JojaMart (at the Museum once the Community Center is restored); on Fridays he skateboards outside his house and then plays pool at the Saloon; and on Saturdays he plays guitar with Sebastian in his room and hangs out with him by the river. On rainy days he stays home or goes to the Saloon. His clinic check-up is on Fall 11, and he goes to the Desert Festival in spring and the Night Market on Winter 17.
After marriage he visits his family at 1 Willow Lane on Mondays, and on Fridays he skateboards near the Saloon and plays pool there.

Heart events
- Two hearts (his house): He and Sebastian are playing music in his room; he wants to start a band and takes up whatever style of music you say you like.
- Three hearts (the beach on a sunny day in year 1, outside winter): He reassures his brother Vincent that their father will come home, then asks you whether he was wrong to raise Vincent's hopes.
- Four hearts (his house): He drops an egg while getting you a snack, and his mother Jodi asks you what happened.
- Six hearts (town, noon to 4 PM, not raining): Mayor Lewis catches him skateboarding on Emily and Haley's flower box and asks for your opinion.
- Eight hearts (he visits your farm, 6 AM to 8 AM): He invites you to watch his band play in Zuzu City, meeting at the bus stop, and thanks you for inspiring their music.
- Ten hearts (after his letter; town, 8 PM to midnight on a sunny day): He sneaks you into his room and admits he is falling for you, and you hide in his bed when his mom knocks.
- Fourteen hearts (married, in a farmhouse upgraded twice): Over several visits he takes a job writing music for a children's TV show, The Happy Junimo Show, plays the finished song for you, Vincent and Jas, and gives you Sam's Boombox.
Marriage
Once married, Sam moves into the farmhouse and adds his own room to the right of the bedroom, along with a half-pipe behind the house where he practises skateboarding tricks.
On rainy days he may give you a Cactus Fruit, Coconut, Earth Crystal or Geode he found in a drawer, on rainy nights Pizza, and on days he stays in a plate of instant Pancakes.
