Char

Char is a volcanic world that serves as the Zerg Swarm's primary hive cluster in the Koprulu Sector. In Brood War the United Earth Directorate assaults Char and seizes the new Overmind growing there, and Kerrigan is later attacked on Char by the Dominion, the UED and a fleet under Artanis. In Wings of Liberty Kerrigan gathers the Swarm at Char, and a combined force of Raynor's Raiders and the Dominion uses a Xel'Naga artifact there to de-infest her and restore her humanity.
