Valerian Mengsk

Valerian Mengsk is the son of Arcturus Mengsk and his successor as Emperor of the Terran Dominion, voiced by Josh Keaton. He was first introduced in The Dark Templar Saga novels, and his backstory is developed further in I, Mengsk. Valerian takes a particular interest in Xel'Naga artifacts, employing mercenaries and leading archaeologists to recover and study them. During Kerrigan's assault on Korhal in Heart of the Swarm he accepts that his father is beyond redemption and asks only that she limit civilian losses, which she agrees to. As emperor in Legacy of the Void he defends the Dominion against Amon, and after Amon's defeat he turns the Dominion into a government of peace and prosperity.
