Plot

As a child, Cho-in is forced by his mother to wear a blindfold to suppress his mind control ability. After his father abuses both of them, Cho-in uses his power to make the man commit suicide. His mother then tries to kill him, but he stops her and runs away. Growing up, he uses his ability to steal money from businesses and lives in a hotel room. Kyu-nam works at a scrapyard with friends Turk Ali and Ghanaian Bubba. He is hit by a car but recovers quickly, though he loses his job. He finds work at Utopia, a pawn shop owned by Jung-sik, and befriends Jung-sik's daughter Yeong-sook. Cho-in arrives, paralyzes everyone, and forces Jung-sik to give him money. Kyu-nam resists Cho-in's influence, but Cho-in uses others to overpower him; Kyu-nam is stabbed and electrocuted, while Jung-sik suffocates. Jung-sik dies at the hospital, but Kyu-nam recovers. Blaming Cho-in, Kyu-nam retrieves a CCTV tape with help from Ali and Bubba. They flee a mob controlled by Cho-in. Kyu-nam knocks Cho-in out and takes him to a police station, but the officers are mind-controlled. He chases Cho-in to a metro station, where Cho-in commands a mother to throw her infant at a train. Kyu-nam saves the child but is struck by the train and left to die, yet he recovers again.
