BtoB 4U

History

The quartet first performed as an unofficial unit on the Naver Now show BTOB NOW: Our Concert, hosted by Seo Eun-kwang, Lee Min-hyuk, Lee Chang-sub, and Peniel, airing for three weeks starting October 27. During the broadcast they performed songs on 'BtoB Masterpiece One Bar Live' and interacted with fans through 'Real-time Q&A', with the final episode on November 18. BtoB 4U was formed four years after BtoB Blue, composed of the same four members, due to other BtoB members' military enlistment. The name BtoB 4U was suggested by Lee Min-hyuk's brother, carrying a double meaning of 'For you' and '4 members united', and also referencing the four members. Other names considered through a public survey included BtoB Sky, BtoB Purple, BtoB Black, TeleToB, and SaToB (4 ToB). Cube Entertainment announced the unit's debut date on October 30. The group debuted on November 16 with the moombahton dance genre song 'Show Your Love', composed by Im Hyun-sik before his military enlistment, carrying a hopeful message. BtoB 4U earned their first music show win on The Show eight days later. On December 2, a Japanese version of the song was released. On January 28, 2021, it was announced that BtoB 4U would participate in the Mnet competition series Kingdom: Legendary War as BtoB, due to other members serving in the military.
