In Their Own Story
The air smells of sulfur and rust. Sly crouches behind a crumbling stone pillar, watching a massive, gear-studded crab patrol the beach. 'This is it,' Bentley whispers over the earpiece. 'Dr. M's island. My scans show the vault key is in the central fortress.' Murray cracks his knuckles. 'Let's show this guy what happens when you mess with the Cooper family.' But as they push deeper, the island fights back—lasers, traps, and a giant mechanical shark that nearly swallows the van. At the fortress's core, Dr. M waits, his voice crackling over speakers: 'You're just like your father, Sly. Too trusting. Too late.'

Did You Know?
- Kaine Island is the only location in the *Sly Cooper* series that is completely destroyed and inaccessible after its episode.
- The island's name is a reference to the biblical figure Cain, reflecting Dr. M's betrayal of Sly's father, much like Cain's betrayal of Abel.
- Dr. M's mechanical animals on the island are a callback to the clockwork animals from the first *Sly Cooper* game, tying the trilogy together.
- The final boss fight on Kaine Island is the only time in the series where all five playable characters are required in a single battle.
